BeFinder® is an optical fluorescence method of detecting beryllium. Beryllium from the sample is dissolved in aqueous ammonium bifluoride to which a dye solution is added and the fluorescence measured.

The sample preparation and measurement can be done manually or in an automated mode (also called High Throughput System).

BeFinder® is suitable for measuring the most stringent requirements and beryllium can be quantified starting from 0.005 micrograms on the media. This can be used for wipe, air and bulk samples.
